My (all-natural) Beauty Routine
I have been into natural lifestyle for many years now. As I learned more about health and body burden, I knew how important is to get these chemicals out of my life.
Since I geek out on natural skincare and beauty more than anything else it seems only appropriate to finally share my natural skincare and beauty routine. My routine is actually very simple and Im more than happy to share my tips with you.
Cleansing: I wash my face twice a day, every morning and evening. I either use All-Natural rosemary soap or a simply wash my face with luke warm water. I also use working out as a process to cleanse my skin. Sweat is a perfect way to let skin naturally remove all the toxins and dirt from your skin.
Exfoliating: Lemon juice. Lemon juice is another natural alpha hydroxy acid that removes dead skin cells. Mix one-quarter-cup each of lemon juice, apple juice, grape juice and cane sugar until sugar dissolves. Then apply the mixture to your face with a cotton pad, and leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing off.
Toning: Apple Cider Vinegar Natural Skin Toner. To apply skin toner, combine water and white vinegar in equal measures. Take a cotton pad, dip it in the mixture, squeeze it a little and wipe your face and neck with the damp cotton pad. This is a quick and easy homemade facial skin toner recipe. Also I love using Rose water to wash my face and it has amazing effects as a toner for your skin.
Moisturizing: It’s all about the face oils. Whenever anyone compliments my skin, I immediately blurt out “COCONUT OIL!” and start gushing all about it the way a young child gushes about a day at the beach/their favorite movie/mermaids/anything remotely exciting — you know, very quickly and with an intense enthusiasm. I use oils both day and night. I apply coconut oil after washing my face every morning and evening, and I also use it as a lotion to moisturize my entire body.
